As Chaplin for the 2011 season of the North Alabama Inter-denomination Golf Association, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new and returning members.  As stated in our Bylaws, "our mission is to promote Christian Fellowship in the competitive sport of golf."

While preparing for your participation in this year of competition, I would like to impress upon each of you to keep in mind the higher calling of Christian Service in enhancing spiritual developmentas as we polish our golf skills. Prominent golf instructors advise their students to rember the word GAP (Grip, Alignment, and Posture) as basic fundamentals to develop a good golf swing.  Likewise, for adequate spiritual growth, we must maintain a good grip on God's word, align our lives with that word, and assume a correct posture as we walk among other men and women such that they are able to see the influence of Christ in our lives.
